United We Stand. Divided We Fall.
After our discussion yesterday about imagining and looking as far as we can, even around or above obstacles, I was drawn back to Genesis. Look what the King said about mankind, even the wicked. This statement is profound on many levels. Does God exaggerate or does the Bible mean what it says? I say that the Bible means what it says and it says what it means. The God of the universe said that with men, evil wicked men, nothing will be impossible for them!
We discussed God strengthening us and holding us up in His victorious hand and how today that means against our enemies in the unseen realm. (Ephesians 6:10-13). These versus in Ephesians show us that enemy is “wiley”. Do you remember “Wiley Coyote”? He was always set on destroying his enemy and that is how our enemy is with us. But we know his tactics (or at least we should)! One of them is division and he has done an excellent job dividing the church into many factions so that it cannot stand.
Last night we discussed our job is to …
Go.
Heal the sick.
and tell them the Kingdom of God is at hand ( Luke 10:9). How can we
Cast out demons.
Raise the dead.
Make disciples.
We need to unite in Spirit, becoming of one mind and one purpose (Phil 2:2, 1 Peter 2:8, Acts 4:32, etc.) ‘ Jesus prayed to God for us … “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:20-23)
I know many of us just met and are getting to know each other and others of us have been meeting for years but we never really became united in mind, heart and purpose. The mission of this LifeTeam is to advance the Kingdom – one healing, deliverance, or conversion at a time. We need to all be mission oriented and Spirit driven all the time so that ‘nothing we set out to do will be impossible for us’!
ARE YOU WITH ME?!
LET’S UNITE NOW & CONQUER THIS REGION FOR THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT!
PS – In light of what I’m sharing, we need to realized that these promises ARE to us and for us! These are not just commands and promises to the men of old. As we go through this Daily Word together, lets remember what Jesus said in Matthew 22:31 (“have you not read what was spoken to you by God”) and echoed in Hebrews 12;5 (“the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children”) and then again in 2 Peter 1:5 (“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises”).
